Item groups

Several items may XE "item groups" need to be added to an invoice together, and an item group does that Most types of items may be combined into groups. Later versions allow specification of the quantities of the individual items composing the group.

The included items must be set up in advance. After the Item Group is generated, the included items are collected into the group.

When an item group is displayed, as new or for edit, the individual item descriptions are taken from the items, at the time the group is displayed. If the items are marked as bought and sold, the sales description is used.

Print items in group commands QuickBooks to print all the detail items constituting the group. If the group consists of a purchased item plus a markup XE "markup:hiding" , you probably want to hide the markup, by clearing this box to the blank condition.
