Overview

Businesses buy things from suppliers, and sell things to customers. Some businesses pay employees, and track a tangle of taxes and contributions and voluntary deductions. While everyone needs customers, Fernando's Fine Foods may well list only one customer in QuickBooks (named "Daily Sales.") QuickBooks organizes all of these entities into lists, very much tailored for the individual needs of your business.

NOTE

"Invoice" is used rather loosely in this chapter, in a meaning that includes bills, estimates, purchase orders, etc.
