Position of printing, or clipping

The printer setups in QuickBooks have an Align button, capable of making small movements of the printing.

Clipping may be caused by margins being set too narrow. Yes, narrow! Any printer has a limited printable area. If the margins are too thin, the application program will attempt to print beyond the printable area. Some print will be lost, on the right or on the bottom. The solution is to set up with wider margins.

QuickBooks 5 Layout Designer puts all printing in boxes. If some printing is set up to print outside of its box, it will be clipped. The solution is to go back into Layout Designer and enlarge the boxes.
